We’re an Indian family owned enterprise with origins dating back to 1912 when our ancestral founders along with Stuparich brothers of Italy ventured into shipping and insurance activities. Over the years, as younger generations with strong academic background and reasonable market exposure joined the family business, they could diversify into insurance and marine surveying, shipping agency, marine engineering repairs and technical supplies. It is in this environment that Skanda Maritime Engineering Co(SMECO) was established and developed.

Being a company with steady and long term focus, we’re sourcing and maintaining decent inventory of new as well as used equipment and spares recovered from ship recycling yards. Based on our profound experience we meticulously filter and identify manufactories, which enables us to supply OEM spares and marine equipment to clients worldwide.
